This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the Haven application ("the App"). Haven is a decentralized social media client and local relay for the Nostr network.
Haven operates as a local node on your device. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, analytics, or telemetry on external servers controlled by the developer.
As a Nostr client, the App interacts with decentralized relays around the world. When you use the App to publish notes, update your profile, or send messages, that data is cryptographically signed and broadcast to the relays you configure. This information becomes public (or encrypted in the case of direct messages) on the Nostr network, governed by the protocol itself.
All of your data, including your private keys (nsec/ncryptsec), config files, and downloaded feed data, are stored securely and directly on your local device. Private keys are securely encrypted using NIP-49 algorithms and stored in your device's Keychain or secure enclave where applicable.
The App displays User Generated Content from the Nostr network. You have full control over the content you see through local whitelists, blacklists, and manual relay configurations. The App provides tools to locally block abusive users or report them to the developer for potential global filtering.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or need to report abusive content, please contact the developer at:
